VIVIEN’S WILD RIDE PUBLIC DIALOGUE SERIES

In celebration of the broadcast premiere of Vivien’s Wild Ride, we are pleased to offer an online dialogue series to promote community conversations around sight loss, adoption, and the role of women in film. All events are online, free, and open to the public.

Vis/Ability – Join us for a conversation with Vivien Hillgrove (Director: Vivien’s Wild Ride), Sheridan O'Donnell (Director: Rising Phoenix: A New Revolution), James LeBrecht (Co-Director with Nicole Newnham: Crip Camp), and Eric M. Ivey (Editor: Vivien’s Wild Ride) about film directing with a visual disability, working with a mixed-ability film-team, and the importance of care-work before, during, and after the film is made. Join birth/first mother Vivien Hillgrove (Director: Vivien’s Wild Ride), her daughter Kathleen Toschi, Dr. Sara Docan-Morgan (author, In Reunion), and Moderator Astrid Castro (Founder and CEO, Adoption Mosaic) in a conversation about relinquishment during the “Baby Scoop Era” of U.S. adoptions (1945–1973), and the complexities of adoption reunions decades later.
